Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager (Crop Protection) serving the Pacific Northwest. Potential of additional geographic responsibilities on the West Coast.
The Crop Protection Account Manager (AM) represents Corteva with Distribution Account(s) to advance products and offerings to meet customer needs, meet financial objectives, establish/capitalize on new markets and technologies, and provide leadership and direction to the accounts. The AM, with the National Account Managers (NAMs), works with the District Leaders to ensure that account plans and activities are integrated with and supportive of local and regional plans.
This is a remote position serving the serving the Pacific Northwest (WA, ID, OR, MT), with the potential of additional geographic responsibilities on the West Coast. If hired, you may be required to travel as necessary to support business activities.
Responsibilities: What we expect from you:
Manages Company Relationship with Key Accounts
Works with National Account Managers in building an understanding of how accounts are organized and how decisions are made (ex. what & who drives their decisions) within their organization.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with key decision-makers at liable accounts and major divisions of national distribution accounts.
Facilitates the development and strengthening of relationships between Corteva and distribution accounts at various levels within each organization.
Aligns CU and Account Objectives, Strategies and Execution
Collaborates with National Account Managers & Commercial Units to lead the development and implementation (including communication) of account plans for the distribution accounts which advance the objectives of both Corteva and the account.
Assists in developing and delivering quarterly and annual purchase and sales objectives which are aligned with CU financial targets for all assigned accounts.
Helps Account Managers to facilitate rapid adoption of new technologies within assigned accounts.
Facilitates cross-CU development and implementation of Commercial Programs with accounts consistent with the accounts managing processes to optimize results.
Monitors progress and manages the execution of account financial metrics (Revenue, Gross Margin, Investment) as well as market share objectives with Accounts.
Develop and Enhance Personal Capabilities
Maintains a thorough knowledge of Corteva portfolio strategies
Continues to develop professionally by remaining current with new industry trends
Remains current on sales management innovations and developments
Serves as a role model of sales skills and customer responsiveness with key accounts
Collaborates and Supports other Functions
Works in cross-functional teams with sales and marketing team members, including:
Commercial Unit, Area and District Leaders
Regional Account Managers
National Account Managers
National Accounts Leader U.S.
Creates cross-platform opportunities for Crop Protection, Seeds, & Range/Pasture through distribution accounts.
What do we require from you?
Required: BS in Agronomy (or equivalent), Marketing or other related fields with demonstrated knowledge of agricultural markets
Minimum of 10 years of marketing and/or sales experience with demonstrated ability in consultative selling and negotiation
Demonstrated ability to work with CEOs, COOs, CFO’s of major accounts
Broad geographic and cross-functional experience is a competitive advantage
Demonstrated ability to work with VP Agronomy of major accounts
Ability to travel extensively, located near an airport for ease of travel to account locations
Strong people leadership skills
Keep in mind, equivalent amounts of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the above requirements

The salary range for this position is $131,000 – $181,000 yearly. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
