SFCC provides a high-quality, geographically, financially and emotionally accessible education to more than 4,000 students who range from traditional college-age students to adult learners.
The college offers associate of arts, associate of fine arts, associate of science and associate of applied science degrees, professional and skills certificates, and noncredit courses and programs, and workforce development training in a 14-county area in central Missouri with locations in Sedalia, Boonville, Clinton, Eldon, Lake of the Ozarks, Warsaw, at Whiteman Air Force Base, and online.
Position Purpose: Instruct various agriculture classes at the Sedalia campus for day classes starting in January 2024. Adjunct assignments may also include days, evenings or weekends. Format for delivery may include lecture, hybrid, online or other.
Instruct agriculture courses
Utilize technology (including Canvas)
Gradebook/feedback up-to-date within 1 week
Timely response to student emails within 24 hours
Meet attendance and final grade entry deadlines
ILO/data reporting to Lead Instructor/Division as requested
Maintain communication with Lead Instructor and Division Chair
Other duties as deemed necessary for the function of the college.

Required Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in Agriculture especially Agronomy or higher preferred
Prior teaching experience at the college level and experience with computer related instruction preferred
Skills:
Possess a working knowledge of computers as a medium to manage and improve instruction.
Demonstrate evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrate student centeredness. Be able to interact with a broad range of people with diverse backgrounds both on and off campus, in a positive manner.
Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of the community college.
A willingness to take on additional responsibility and work collaboratively
Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Ability to interact verbally in person, over the telephone, and via written and electronic media.
Ability to move about campus and other locations.
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
