The Idaho Farm Bureau Federation is an agricultural association that empowers Idaho Agriculture and works to protect the rights, values, and property of our member families and their neighbors. Compensation:
$45,000 Annually
Responsibilities:
Provide full administrative support to a dynamic three-member team based in downtown Boise, Idaho.
Serve as administrative assistant to four state-wide committees.
In coordination with the Chairmen, send invitations, create agendas, keep minutes, arrange meals, and other necessary preparations/logistics for the various committee meetings held in the building and at remote locations.
Oversee and manage editing, proofreading, printing, and distribution of annual publications and other materials as assigned.
Create and format spreadsheets, brochures, infographics, etc. as requested.
Proofread letters, articles, and other correspondence from team members to ensure correct grammar, punctuation, and clear expression of ideas and thought flow.
Edit, publish, and distribute the weekly legislative e-newsletter.
Perform research as requested by team members.
File all regulatory reports and other legal filings in an accurate and timely manner.
Answer phones, greet visitors, and direct inquiries to the proper team members.
Perform other similar duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or GED.
Experience: 3 plus years of experience as an administrative assistant; or an administrative assistant certificate from a recognized program; or equivalent college experience. Familiarity with agriculture and/or the legislative process is a plus.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Mail Chimp and Adobe InDesign or other publishing software experience is a plus.
