Job Description
This position serves to provide Qualterra with an individual who will work primarily in the field at the installation site/sites and involve a combination of indoor and outdoor operation.
- Run and maintain the Biomass Processing Units.
- Off-load and bag biochar – totes and 1 cu ft bags.
- Maintain and clean the site to maintain a safe and professional appearance.
- Maintain Inventory of Tools and Equipment.
- Accounts for time and materials used in various tasks.
- Performs Diagnostics, Repairs, and Upgrades.
- Follow safety rules and regulations.
- Provide feedback to engineering department to promote system development.
- Other duties as assigned.

Hours: Adjusted for season, 4–10-hour shifts, starting time of 6 am
What you’ll contribute to our team:
- Machinery Operation.
- General Knowledge of major system components.
- Knowledge of trade specific tools.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Driver’s License / Good driving record as determined by the company
- Proof of Auto Insurance
- Ability to travel to rural areas for daily work.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds regularly.
- Expertise with material handling.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and repair experience.
- Experience with electromechanical systems – diagnose and repair equipment
- CDL A (nice to have)
- Welding experience (nice to have)
