Agricultural Service Technician in Westfield, NY

A service technician is responsible for diagnosing and completing repairs to agricultural equipment. A successful candidate will be able to diagnose and action repairs accurately while maintaining excellent customer service. Candidates can expect a wide range of repairs that will extend beyond Inspections and routine maintenance. These repairs will require knowledge of machines subsystems; Powertrain, Hydraulic, and Electrical, (including CANBUS systems).

Hours: Monday thru Friday 8 am to 5 pm, Saturdays 8 am-12 pm. Seasonal demands can change expected work hours.

Reports to: Service Coordinator. In the absence of the Service, Coordinator direction can be obtained from the Service Manager
Qualifications:
➢ 5-6 Years Agricultural Repair/Heavy Equipment Repair Experience (or Relevant Experience.)
➢ Well-developed professional tool collection.
➢ Maintains Master Certification in 1 product category (Industry-specific we can help!)
➢ Current DOT Medical Card and Valid NYS Driver’s License with a clean MVR.
➢ Able to climb on, operate, and inspect agricultural equipment.
➢ Maintains 609 Air conditioning Certification.
➢ Detail orientated.
➢ Possess a high degree of adaptability.
➢ Able to utilize Electronic Diagnostic Tools to aid in the diagnosis of machine repairs.
Expectations and Duties:
❖ Candidates will have mastery over expectations listed in The Maintenance Technician.
❖ Participation in the After-Hours program.
❖ Candidates will be able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
❖ Able to sufficiently process detailed repair stories, and log repair status electronically.
❖ Possesses skills to complete assigned repairs without direct oversight while adhering to the scope of the project at hand.
❖ Self-Inspect and test repair before signing off that the job is complete.
Additional duties as assigned.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
