Job Description
Responsible for efficient and accurate fertilizer, pesticide and fungicide applications and performance of functions that will include maintenance of equipment, plant, rolling stock, operations of forklifts, loaders, tender trucks, and other duties as required. This person will maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the cooperative and a favorable image of UFC.

· Maintains a team focus and is willing to serve as operational support to any assigned UFC location as staffing needs arise.
· Acts as the first line of support for the UFC Agronomy department’s sales team.
· Work with the cooperative team to facilitate excellent customer service across multiple locations
CONNECTED & COMMITTED:
· Operate spraying and spreading equipment properly and in accordance with delivery tickets.
· Mix fertilizer and chemicals properly to ensure quality standards and accuracy.
· Handle and deliver product as assigned.
· Report inventory supply needs, overstocks and billing corrections to supervisor and office promptly.
· Submit all application records, product deliveries, potential problems, new business opportunities across all departments of UFC and other conditions promptly.
· Ensure all invoicing can be done accurately with the information you have applied and delivered.
· Maintain equipment and recommend replacement or repairs when necessary
· Maintain fertilizer and chemical warehouses and report repairs, unsafe equipment or working conditions to your supervisor.
· Maintain a certified applicator license.
· Assist in loading and unloading company and customer vehicles with product based upon work order or customer tickets.
· Follow all UFC safety policies and procedures.
· Ensure customers are informed of safe product handling.
· Ensure facilities and equipment meet federal, state and OSHA regulations.
· Uphold all UFC’s policies and perform other duties as assigned by management.
· Assist in keeping all inside and outside work areas clean and orderly.
· Assist with measure and counting of inventory of dry and liquid fertilizers, NH3, lime and chemicals.
· Travel and work in assigned area, with occasional regional travel required.
· Work with the cooperative team to facilitate excellent customer service across multiple locations
· Assist with entering information into software systems, dispatching, mixing, loading, and delivering agronomy orders.
· Professional representation of the company through appearance and helpful attitudes.
· Ensure no product or customer problems result due to your service.
· Use extreme caution while driving on customer properties; drive slowly and watch for children, pets, animals, toys, flower beds, hedges, and lawns to avoid damage to customers’ buildings and properties.
· Notify supervisor and aid in resolving customer complaints promptly.
VISIONARY:
· Develop operational knowledge to assist in other departments
· Proactively identify areas of opportunity in Agronomy and collaborate with co-workers and management team to enhance efficiency and success.
· Continue to grow in personal knowledge of agronomy operations and United Farmers Cooperative locations and services and the cooperative business model to improve product recommendations and services to UFC’s customers.

Pay: $10.00 – $99.00 per hour
