Agriculture Equipment Assembly Technician
The Agriculture Equipment Assembly Technician is hired by, reports to and is evaluated by the Service Manager. The Agriculture Equipment Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling farm equipment, including but not limited to seeding, harvesting, sprayer and tillage equipment for Delta Group and its customers. The Agriculture Equipment Assembly Technician works in collaboration with the Service Manager, Shop Foreman, parts sales team members, sales team members, and customers to further the goals and objectives of Delta Group. The Agriculture Equipment Assembly Technician must be self-motivated as most of their work is conducted without immediate oversight of management. Other job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Service Department Responsibilities
– Assembles farm equipment, including but not limited to seeding, harvesting, sprayer and tillage equipment.
– Reads and interprets assembly instructions, blueprint specifications and parts lists.
– Coordinates gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials needed to complete full assembly projects.
– Verifies specifications, interprets measurements and assembles farm equipment components as instructed in guidebooks.
– Utilizes hand and power tools, measuring devices and basic math to complete assembly functions.
– Operates forklift and heavy equipment as needed for assembly functions.
– Ensures all parts are fitted and screwed in properly for quality assurance.
– Troubleshoots assembly issues and performs repairs as needed, reporting errors to the Service Manager/Shop Foreman.
– Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
– Promotes and supports a focus on safety by following all safety rules, regulations, and guidelines at all times.
Team Leadership
– Develops and maintains open communication among employees, customers, vendors, partners, and suppliers.
– Encourages and promotes a collaborative working relationship between the parts, sales, and service departments.
– Works as part of a team, offering and seeking assistance when needed.
– Contributes to the team effort and assists with training new team members.
Customer Service
– Handles all customer questions, concerns, and complaints expeditiously.
– Treats all customers with respect, and if an issue occurs involves the Service Manager/Shop Foreman for resolution, as needed.

– Ability to get around the dealership and grounds for various tasks.
– Ability to lift or move 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
– Ability to tolerate up and down movement with bending or stooping, including reaching above and below shoulder height with arms and hands.
– Ability to be on ones feet for extended periods of time.
– Ability to climb a ladder with the ability to carry an object while climbing.
– Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment as necessary.
– Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds of force.
– Ability to load/unload and utilize tools.

Education, Experience and Background:
– High School Diploma/GED preferred.
– Must have a valid drivers license.
– Previous mechanical experience preferred.
