AGRICULTURE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
The
Agriculture
Sales Representative position is responsible for actively selling
Deerpoint Group products and services to new customers. The
Agriculture Sales Representative will develop relationships with growers in their prospective territories to provide innovative solutions relating to fertilizer needs.
This position is expected to drive lead management through networking and creative and effective prospecting.
Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities
Build effective relationships with prospects
Effectively present solutions to customers and close on new business
Effectively manage pipeline and distribute customer information as needed
Meet sales expectations set forth by President / CEO.
What you will need:
2 – 5 years of Agriculture Sales Experience is required.
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Management, Agriculture, or related field.
Drive, expertise and self-motivation.
Ability to develop new customer base including cold calls and research to determine qualified prospects.
Fit into a fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial culture that requires collaborative teamwork.
Skills:
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Excellent writing skills.
Proficiency in computer processing functions and other standard office equipment;
Excellent Microsoft office skills, especially excel.
Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks;
Ability to create and deliver weekly sales reports, to include projected sales and target dates.
Read, comprehend reports and analyze data and explain clearly and concisely to others;
Ability to calmly and professionally resolve issues with diplomacy and tact;
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
Strong organizational skill.
Physical Requirements: Visual acuity to read a computer screen and paper documents; close and distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception, ability to adjust focus; hearing acuity to converse with staff and customers in person and by phone; ability to walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and lift and move 10 pounds on a regular basis, up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds; ability to sit and drive a vehicle for hours at a time.
Working Conditions:
This position functions in both indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to a variety of work environments, which include outside weather conditions and exposure to machinery and equipment with moving parts. Employee may be subject to hazardous chemicals and chemical waste, with exposure to moderate noise levels.
