Part Time Agriculture Teacher – FFA Advisor in Powell, WY

Provide instruction in agriculture education and welding at a variety of different grade levels to students in Grades 9-12
Serve as FFA sponsor for Powell High School and provide instruction and leadership to students participating in FFA programs and activities at the local, state, and national levels

Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. Degree

Qualified for a Standard Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements, i.e., agriculture education as issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board

Successful teaching experience in agriculture education at the high school level and involvement with FFA programs, either as a student or instructor, preferred

Demonstrated ability to motivate, work effectively with, and relate to high school students of different age/ability levels and with varying needs

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with and relate to members of the Agriculture Education/FFA Parent Advisory Board, members of the agricultural community, fellow faculty members, and administration

Knowledge/Experience in Professional Learning Communities (PLC)

Ability to inspire high ethical and moral standards for all individuals with which associated by modeling the expected standards
Demonstrated understanding of safety and safety practices and the care and maintenance of equipment as related to all aspects of shop maintenance/operations

Experience and/or training in performance standards/performance-based education preferred

Additional coursework in agriculture education or related area(s) and practical experience in the agricultural industry highly desirable

Salary: District Salary Schedule (2022-2023 Base = $51,000.00)

Employment Term: Full-time – 185 day contract

Beginning Date: 2023-2024 reporting date for staff – August 15, 2023 (New staff will have orientation before this date)
Closing Date: March 17, 2023
