Seasonal Agronomist in Monticello, MS

We are currently seeking a full time Agronomist/Agricultural Land Manager to add to our team of professionals.

Please note that this Agronomist/Agricultural Land Manager position is an autonomous role requiring considerable time, effort, professionalism, independence, ingenuity, collaboration, and efficiency.

The individual filling this role must be willing and able to fulfill the entire suite of duties, goals, and responsibilities of this position with little to no daily guidance. This position will require extensive and continuous communication with company management, employees and customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage agricultural land-base to meet program needs
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and permit conditions including monitoring and reporting requirements
• Convey agronomic information to customers
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and future customers
• Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public
• Perform work in a safe manner while recognizing safety hazards and improved processes/procedures.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Knowledge of farming/agricultural practices and regulations
• Knowledge of concepts, practices, procedures, methods, and techniques used in agricultural and/or farming operations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel including executive management and customers
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal, problem solving and relationship building skills
• Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality
• Technology Savvy
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
• Ability to travel occasionally (10-20%)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in agricultural and farming practices required
• Valid driver’s license
• Safe driving record

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Position will be based out of New Earth’s Monticello, MS office when not traveling for business.
• This position requires occasional travel and overtime

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
