Job Description

This position will support daily Agronomy Operations working out of one of our retail agronomy locations. This is a great opportunity for hands-on agricultural learning experiences and lifetime career.

You will learn how to blend, load, deliver and apply our products. Plus, on-farm learning experiences. This position will teach you how to operate new application equipment, such as row-crop sprayers and fertilizer spreaders, operating delivery trucks and delivering the product to the customer.

You will also gain the opportunity to learn propane and fuel delivery to support our winter propane operations. Your focus will be to provide excellent customer service to our customers in order to ensure the best possible customer experience.

Ability to do light-duty truck and equipment maintenance and daily vehicle inspections. If you are customer-focused, have a great work ethic and a desire to build a career in the Agriculture industry, we would like to talk with you!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide excellent customer service at our customer location and while providing counter sales support.
  • Fork Lift and loader operation – Load products for customer delivery by hand or with company equipment as needed.
  • Delivery Driver – Deliver fertilizer, seed or chemicals to customers via pick-up truck or tender truck.
  • Sprayer and spreader Operations – Apply fertilizer and chemicals purchased by our customers.
  • Vehicle Maintenance – Evaluate and maintain trucks and equipment by performing repairs as needed.
  • Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
  • Bag fertilizer, sweep, clean and maintain the warehouse and surrounding areas.
  • Interacts with customers and answers questions at our Country Store location or on customer worksite.
  • Ability to operate Ag equipment – Previous Agriculture and farm operations experience is preferred
  • Previous fork lift, loader and or bobcat experience preferred
  • Computer Savvy Ability to learn computerized equipment operations
  • Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Tanker Endorsement preferred – Ability to obtain required
  • Current Health Card preferred – Ability to obtain required
  • Support propane delivery by acquiring certifications needed including Hazmat endorsements.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends during busy season is required
  • Ability to perform accurate application of fertilizer and chemical products at customer site
