Agronomy Business Analyst
Easy Automation is seeking a skilled and motivated Agronomy Software Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. As an Agronomy Software Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our technical development team and the unique requirements of the agronomy market sector. Your expertise in both software development processes and agronomy practices will be crucial in shaping and delivering innovative software solutions that cater to the specific needs of our clients within the agriculture industry.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with agronomy experts, stakeholders, and clients to understand their business processes, challenges, and software needs.
Translate agronomy-related requirements into clear and comprehensive technical specifications for software development.
Identify and prioritize features that align with industry trends and customer demands.
Stay up to date with the latest developments in the agronomy sector, including technology advancements, industry regulations, and market trends.
Conduct competitive analysis to ensure our software solutions maintain a competitive edge in the agronomy market.
Create detailed functional and non-functional requirements documentation, user stories, and use cases.
Work closely with development teams to design software solutions that meet the specific needs of agronomy clients, while ensuring scalability and maintainability.
Act as a liaison between agronomy experts and software development teams, fostering clear and effective communication.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, UI/UX designers, and quality assurance, to ensure a holistic approach to solution delivery.
Assist in the creation of test cases and scenarios that reflect the unique requirements of the agronomy sector.
Conduct testing and validation to ensure that software solutions meet the established standards and address agronomy-specific challenges.
Provide training materials and support documentation to agronomy clients, enabling them to effectively utilize our software solutions.
Collaborate with customer support teams to address and resolve any software-related issues in a timely manner.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience (3-5 years) working as a Business Analyst, preferably within the agronomy or agriculture sector.
Strong understanding of SQL databases and queries.
Strong understanding of agronomy practices, crop management, and agribusiness processes.
Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and translating user needs into technical specifications.
Proficiency in using business analysis tools and software.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects.
This position has the potential to be based out of our Welcome, Mankato, or Chanhassen, MN locations, with the opportunity to work remotely, after a training period.
