Ag1 Farmers Cooperative is looking to hire an Agronomy Center Manager to oversee the daily agronomy operations in Cookeville, TN. This individual will work to organize and oversee agronomy center by providing a safe working environment and working to improve operations, sales and company culture.
The right individual will have a strong knowledge of agronomic operations, be an overall team player, and displays great organizational and communication skills. This position would be responsible for all aspects of growing and maintaining a viable agronomy business for our customers.
Salary range: $45,000-$75,000 depending on experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture
- Relevant work experience in management and/or finance
- Extensive knowledge of agronomic, business, and sales best practices
- Agriculture work experience and/or background preferred, especially fertilizer terminal operations
- Understanding of fertilizer options, production agriculture and the application of fertilizer
- Proficient in data management skills and data management software
- Ability to stay dedicated and reliable with duties and responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervises production staff and ensures assignments are completed in orderly, safe and timely manners
- Plans, establishes, and coordinates work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals and accommodate operational hours
- Manages all truck inbound fertilizer as well as the logistics of the sale and delivery of fertilizer
- Ensures fertilizer sales/deliveries meet required specifications
- Deploy, manage, and evaluate product sales training, marketing, and grower programs
- Manage seed orders, logistics, inventory management, customer financing, manufacturer reporting, etc
- Demonstrates the ability to maximize efficiency in plant operations
- Receives and processes incoming products and paperwork
- Works with customers by listening to their needs and recommending fertilizer blends, when needed
- Ensures safe operation of articulating loader used to blend dry fertilizer, mixing and pouring of dry and liquid elements for complete fertilizer blends
- Maintains and coordinates regular daily maintenance operating standards
- Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
