Job Description
Ag Plus, one of Minnesota’s best locally owned cooperatives, is currently looking for an Agronomy Location Manager at our Ghent, MN location. In the past three years, our Ghent location has experienced strong growth in fertilizer, seed, and chemical sales.
Along with the growth in sales, we have added multiple pieces of new equipment. The Ghent Location Manager will be responsible for managing 9 full-time employees, 10-12 seasonal employees and a $20-$25 million annual budget. Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage location operations to provide excellent customer service while creating and maintaining efficiencies for maximum profitability
- Employee management including hiring and training, coaching and developing, accountability, handling performance issues and terminations, conducting performance reviews
- Assist in annual budget management and asset needs
- Expense management
- Inventory management
- Focus on safety in all areas of operation
- Cooperate with Director or Safety on all safety and compliance issues
- Support and implement company policies and procedures
- Manage equipment and facility maintenance
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of management experience
- Strong agronomy background
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work extended hours during periods of high demand

Compensation:
- $90,000 to $120,000 annually
- Complete benefit package including paid time off, health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance and an excellent retirement package including 401(k) and pension
