Duties
Assist patrons in use of facility, including: checking out equipment, providing safety instructions, guiding trail rides, preparing horses for use and ensuring proper mounts assigned to patrons.
Assists with maintaining general cleanliness of main house, and barn (including stall cleaning and maintenance).
Mows grass, trims and edges walkways, waters plants and cleans out drainage ditches.
Moves material using wheelbarrows, hand trucks or dollies, stacks and arranges supplies for storage.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position, to include a credit check.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
This position requires periodic drug testing.
A pre-employment occupational physical is required for this position.
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 40-75 pounds and be able to stand, walk, and bend for lengthy periods of time.
Incumbent must be available to work Days, Evenings, occasional Nights, Weekends, and Holidays as needed.
Must be willing and able to travel occasionally to on and off post locations in support of horse shows, purchasing, or for special events.
Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to ride, saddle, and handle horses.
Must be able to follow instructions to clean and condition riding supplies and equipment.
Must be able to operate a lawnmower, use rakes and similar tools or equipment.
Must have a valid state driver’s license to operate a vehicle.
Education
This position does not have an education substitution.
