Job Description
Seven Sons raises various livestock & poultry and works with local artisan vendors to provide our customers with sources of nutrient-dense foods.
The primary responsibility of the Livestock Assistant Manager is to help oversee, farm and Livestock productions, to make sure that all animals are always in a humane environment and are treated humanely at all times, & to make sure all production practices are kept to maintain livestock health, performance all while regenerately managing soil health.
The Livestock Assistant Manager reports directly to Joseph Bradly unless otherwise stated.

- This is determined by death percentage, animal performance, overall herd health, plant and soil testing.
- Overall Task Efficiency
- Ability to maintain current responsibilities, along with looking for ways to improve efficiency.

- Leadership
- Measured by the ability to help other Team Members to excel in their current tasks, to also assign team members (new & existing) to tasks that meet their strong suits & vice versa. (The leadership abilities of the Assistant Livestock Operations Manager will be monitored by the Live stock Operations Manager. Job Completion

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Oversee and complete the daily pasture moves for livestock.
- Assist to Ensure that livestock are comfortable and are taken care of in accordance to Seven Sons Production Standards.
- Delivering and feed hay to livestock
- Help maintain appropriate inventory levels of all grain and feed supplements.
- Assist in fence and waterline maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in daily moving ,sorting and loading of livestock.
- Assist in making sure all appropriate gates are closed and fence is properly working at all times.
- Ability to work in a highly motivated and collaborative team environment.
- Ability to use deductive reasoning.
- Willingness to report to management.
- Willingness to take responsibility for work performed, oversights, and areas of improvement.
- In-depth understanding of how electric fence works and how to problem solve shorts.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Completion of prerequisite training material.
- The ability to work half days on weekends (Saturday & Sunday – On a rotated schedule)
Expected Work Week:
- Typical work day is 8 AM – 5 PM
- Work week could range from 35-45 hours.
Compensation:
- $18/hr
- $2,000 SS Store Food credit ($166.00/month)
Two weeks of paid vacation days are granted per year starting after the first 3 months of hire date. (Manager is required to have his/her workload covered)
