Barn Hand in Broomfield, CO

Job Summary:
Hiring for Saturday and Sundays. More hours could be made available as well. We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Barn Hand. As a Barn Hand, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to animal care, farm maintenance, and greenhouse operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about agriculture and enjoys working in a hands-on environment.

Duties:
– Assist with the daily care and feeding of animals, including feeding, watering, and cleaning
– Perform general maintenance tasks such as repairing fences, mending equipment, and maintaining barn cleanliness
– Operate farm machinery and equipment as needed
– Help with animal husbandry tasks such as grooming, hoof trimming, and administering medications
– Maintain accurate records of animal health and farm activities
– Follow all safety protocols and ensure the well-being of animals at all times

Skills:
– Experience or interest in farming or agriculture
– Proficiency in equine animal handling techniques
– Basic mechanical knowledge for operating farm machinery
– Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
– Knowledge of basic math for measuring feed quantities and calculating medication dosages
