Blueberry Field Manager in Ford, WA

We are seeking an experienced blueberry field manager with good working knowledge of blueberries and tree fruit or related permaculture cropping.. Knowledge of irrigation is a must.

We are an organic farm and will educate the right candidate to our organic methods. This is a year around position but we try to keep winters pretty open so good time off is available during winter months because we know we expect a lot during the season. We have a very nice house available on the farm for a family or an apartment for a single person.

Successful candidate must demonstrate the proven ability to recruit and manage the crews, organize and successfully complete tasks while watching costs and maintaining high yields and quality. Ability to manage the record keeping paperwork a modern farm needs is a big plus. Manager must be in good physical condition and able to work alongside the crews when necessary as well as being skilled in pruning, irrigation scheduling, fertility management and keeping a happy crew! Ability to speak Spanish would be a plus.

The farm is located in a beautiful valley in Eastern Washington near Spokane with great fishing and hunting nearby.
