Would you like to work for a company that cares about its employees?We’re looking for a Chain Account Manager – Farm and Feed to join our team in Salt Lake City, UtahThe Chain Account Manager plays a vital role at Animal Supply Company (ASC) and is responsible for leading sales efforts and managing relationships with key chain accounts in the farm and feed channel. The primary focus will be on driving revenue growth, enhancing customer experience and relationships, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of sales strategies and initiatives.In this exciting role, you will:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.1. Account Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with chain account key decision-makers and stakeholders, acting as the main point of contact for all sales-related activities.
Regularly communicate with customers to understand their needs, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling products and services.
Conduct periodic business reviews with customers to assess performance, gather feedback, address concerns, explore opportunities, and identify areas for improvement.

2. Sales Strategy and Planning:

Collaborate with the sales leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to target and acquire new chain accounts while also nurturing existing relationships.
Identify and analyze new business opportunities within existing and potential accounts, anticipating customer needs and proposing tailored solutions.
Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and revenue growth, that align with company objectives and market trends.

3. Sales Execution:

Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing deals, negotiating, and managing sales pipelines effectively.
Work closely with the sales team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services to customers.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to adapt sales strategies accordingly.

4. Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal departments such as marketing, product development, and customer service to support account needs and resolve issues promptly.
Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to guide product development and marketing efforts.

5. Sales Performance and Reporting:

Track and analyze sales performance metrics for chain accounts, including revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction.
Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Analyze sales performance data and metrics to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.

Communication Skills: Must have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, to convey sales strategies, objectives, performance updates, and proposals to customers and stakeholders.
Adaptability: Ability to adjust strategies and tactics to meet market demands and stay ahead of competitors, in a fast-paced work environment.
Industry Knowledge: Must have a strong understanding of the industry, including knowledge of market trends, customer preferences, and industry regulations.
Time Management: Must have effective time management skills for prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines and must work with a sense of urgency.
Business Acumen: Ability to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.

Your education & experience should be similar to:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Relevant work experience and demonstrated skills will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Proven track record of success in sales and account management, ideally within a similar industry and within the farm and feed channel.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and use insights to drive sales strategies.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in using CRM software and other sales-related tools.
Willingness to travel nationally as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Be able to work outside of the core schedule, based on business needs.

Animal Supply Company (ASC) compensation is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to role, level, and location. In addition, ASC’s pay can vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience for each candidate for the posted position.
