Role:
The controller is an integral member of the management team and will be responsible for managing all areas of accounting for our company. This involves overseeing all accounting staff, managing, and ensuring the accuracy of all financial information, preparing internal and external statements and reports, and analyzing variances in inventories. They will also work closely with the Senior Leadership team to ensure that organizational strategies are developed, implemented, and monitored.
The Controller will be a hands-on, trustworthy professional with the demonstrated ability to prioritize many tasks and be adaptable. They will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills with business acumen to thoroughly navigate the financial, administrative, and operational functions of the organization. They will possess strong leadership skills with the ability to convey initiative, teamwork, reliability, and commitment to team members and will proactively identify opportunities for improvement while implementing effective financial controls and ensuring compliance.
Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties

Financial reporting
Supervise accounting department
Follow all regulations, laws, and rules
Prepare financial statements
Payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Oversee Federal and state tax procedures
Prepare and submit payroll taxes
Establish and maintain financial controls
Coordinate external auditor activity
Must possess a positive, upbeat attitude

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
3+ years or more of experience in accounting
Experience in managing payroll

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
