Zurich is currently looking for a CROP Design and Development Specialist for our Crop Claims division. This position may work out of one of the following North American offices: 100% Virtual.
Develops support and supplemental material (user guides, tip sheets, self-support/on-the-job guides, release notes) for larger learning solutions and initiatives. Works with Program Managers and more experienced Design and Development Specialists to create instructional graphics, exercises, or tools (spreadsheets, forms, etc.) to be used within a larger program. Heavily involved in the quality assurance process including grammar and spell checking, layout formatting, functional testing of web-based training, and collecting defects and changes from internal testing and pilots.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Maintains content on Learning & Developments Intranet and SharePoint sites. Performs minor updates and maintenance to existing learning programs.
Creates effective supplemental learning material in line with the learning programs objectives and team /corporate design guidelines. Follows trends in the training field in order to provide the best and latest techniques.
Updates and revises training materials and resets priorities and the use of various resources to meet changing needs and goals.
Maintains quality assurance logs and internal release/version notes.
Prepares detailed technical information for different types of audiences and skill sets.
Maintains flexibility and adjusts project plans as needed to meet business unit goals.
Assists with the administration of the Learning Management System.
Troubleshoots and resolves issues with learning solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Curriculum Design area OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Curriculum Design area OR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Curriculum Design area
Preferred Qualifications:
CROP Insurance experience
Strong sound instructional design practices and principles for various modalities and delivery methods
Strong technical writing and editing skills
Ability to demonstrate creativity in the design of training methodologies and materials
Strong knowledge of web meeting tools
Strong project management and time management skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Experience consulting with business partners or clients
Experience in meeting facilitation
Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is $51,100.00 – 83,700.00.
