Are you an early riser? Do you love being outside and working with livestock?
KurthKine Holsteins is a family run dairy farm that is currently looking to fill a position to start as soon as convenient. Shift times include morning chores (4:00 AM-7:00 AM) and evening chores (2:45 PM-6:00 PM). Hours would amount to about 25-30 hours per week for the right individual.
Primary responsibilities would include: Scraping/cleaning pens during milking, moving cows throughout freestall, milking cows, bedding/grooming stalls as needed, power washing parlor, cleaning out cow waterers as well as various day to day tasks. Once trained in, and if the individual shows interest, additional responsibilities can be added as time goes on.
The ideal candidate would have experience and be comfortable operating foot controlled skid loaders. General livestock handling and milking procedure knowledge is also preferred but not required. The individual should also be hardworking, fast paced, self-motivated and reliable.
Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license is required for this job.
Employers are willing to train the right individual if needed. This job would be perfect for a person looking to add a second job, or a college or high school student looking for work before or after school.
Pay is dependent upon employee experience and knowledge.
