Dairy Farm Herdsman

Job Description

350 Cow Family Owned & run Dairy, Father, 2 sons, 1 daughter and a few additional hired workers.

Your job would be monitoring cows, we just put in Smaxtec monitoring system, you would be expected to check daily reports on cows and then check up and treat those cows as needed.

Work with fresh cows, getting newborns started right, breeding cows, scrapping, moving cows to parlor, fill in for sick milkers, rest of time which usually is not alot would be spent doing other miscellaneous chores, cleaning heifer barns, hauling out manure, possibly some field work.

We are a very hands-on family owned farm as we all do our part to keep things running smoothly by filling in the gaps when needed as well as keeping the farm looking nice.
