The Director, Livestock Medical Devices is primarily responsible for helping to drive our Technology strategy related to medical devices across all Livestock species. Reporting into the Associate Vice President, Livestock BU Lead, the Director, Livestock Medical Devices is part of the Global Marketing Commercial Services Organization and will be responsible for building a strong partnership with our company’s Medical Device suppliers, developing a business plan to make the our company’s Medical Devices profitable and auto funding, to work very closely with our Technology Design Team and to connect the majority of the Medical Devices with our company’s monitoring system.
This position will play a key role to strengthen our company’s relationship with important Key Accounts and to create new business cases to attract new medical devices for our company.
Strategic, Operational, and Leadership Responsibilities:
The Medical Devices Director Livestock is primarily responsible for
Manage all medical devices partners for Animal Health (AH), including analysis of financial offers to customers, supplier and partner relationships, Seasonals, diversification, and business development opportunities
Coordinate annual forecasts with devices suppliers, in alignment with all countries and with global procurement team
Be responsible for maximizing the current portfolio of medical devices
Develop and deploy business plans specifically for vaccination devices and the species related
Prepare training and resources for all related devices
Understand, anticipate, and explore market trends, expressed and unexpressed customers’ unmet needs, and then come up with ideas for medical devices
Communicate the strategies appropriately and efficiently with the Regional and Commercial operations stakeholders
Coordinate with the Global Technical Directors the necessary Life Cycle Management studies and activities to combine the vaccine portfolio and related equipment
Interact with the Global Species Leads and align the devices portfolio within those teams

Education Minimum Requirement:
Required: Bachelors Degree, preferably a degree in Business Administration, Veterinary Medicine, or Animal Science
Preferred: Masters and/or Doctor degree in medical device or Engineering fields
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum 10 years relevant experience in Marketing, Sales and/or Technical Services
Strong marketing and strategic business thinking capabilities
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work with different sources of information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong intercultural, interpersonal, with a natural ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to create, nurture, and drive a collaborative team environment
Demonstrated leadership skills
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Project management experience
Experience in a global or regional role
Multi-Lingual (Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Chinese)

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidates relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range: $175,440.00 – $276,200.00
