JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing excellent customer service; performing manual work maintaining the Southeastern Livestock Facility and grounds, working with clients to plan and execute events, collecting and accounting for fees, and enforcing rules and regulations for all County owned/operated property.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Event Service Specialist I – Maintain overall cleanliness of the auditorium, arena, halls, bathrooms and grounds. Performs routine assistance in the maintenance, landscape, upkeep, and repairs to facilities, grounds and equipment.
· Assists with event set-ups and take-downs as needed, including set-up and tear-down of arenas, chutes, pens, panels, tables, chairs, etc.
· Performs routine, maintenance to include the cleaning of various light equipment to ensure safe, efficient and continuous operation. Manually cleans horse stalls, barn aisles and performs trash pickup.
· Reviews and has thorough understanding of all work order sheets to execute scheduled events.
· Reports all discrepancies or concerns to supervisor or facility manager.
· Supports the organizations guiding principles and core values.
· Required to report to work at the appointed hour, as scheduled, and to work the entire assigned schedule.
· Event Service Specialist II Includes all work functions as Event Service Specialist I plus:
· Assists event planner with set up, planning and meets all needs during the event.
· Performs routine safety checks which may include equipment and all areas of the facility.
· Performs routine, maintenance to include the cleaning of various light and medium equipment to ensure safe, efficient and continuous operations.
· Communicates additional charges to supervisor incurred by events/guests.
· Event Service Specialist III Includes all work functions as Event Service Specialist II plus:
· Responsible for assigning tasks and supervision of daily operations in assigned area.
· Oversees facility operations under the supervision of the facility supervisor or facility manager.
· Understands operations and maintenance needs of all equipment.
· Prepares professional equine arenas by watering, dragging and packing arena footing.
· SELP Lead Specialist Includes all work functions as Event Service Specialist III plus:
· Supervises Event Service Specialists, community service workers, and inmates under the direction of the SELP Facilities Management Supervisor. Assists with hiring, discipline, and evaluations.
· Implements the organizations guiding principles and core values.
· Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies prior to the start of an event and upon completion of an event.
· This position involves working with event holders in planning and hosting multiple events in each area of this facility. Must be knowledgeable of building safety and contract elements.
· May fill in for SELP Facilities Management Supervisor in the event of an absence.
SUPERVISION
Event Service Specialist I -May be responsible for directly supervising trustees and/or community service workers.
Event Service Specialist II – Requires some supervisory responsibility. May be responsible for directly supervising Event Services Specialist I, temporary employees, trustees and community service workers.
SELP Lead Specialist Assists with supervision of daily operations in assigned area and is responsible for assigning tasks and supervision of daily operations in assigned area.

· Ability to plan, coordinate, and assign tasks to work crews.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of the general public and other agencies.
· Ability to conduct routine inspections and identify and investigate problems, as well as communicate findings effective verbally and in writing. Ability to prepare reports and enforce rules and regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is heavy work which requires exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk hear, and smell.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in various indoor and outdoor environments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock; and will regularly be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
