Fall Harvest Work in Wisconsin – Housing Available in McAllen, TX

Wages: $16-$21/hour based on work experience and job assignments.
Shift Times: Day shift with varying start times based on needs for the day/weather.
Position Summaries are Below—Assignments are made by Express/On-Site Supervisors
Outdoor Harvest Positions:

Tub and Ramp Employees
You will be working in water that will be 6-10 inches deep. We supply hip waders to work in water. We do not supply any additional clothes or rain gear.
Unhook tubs full of cranberries, position tub under excavator to be lifted out of bed.
Move ramps in place for tractor and raker to get in and out of beds. Hook empty tubs together and pull across the end of beds to be hooked back up to the tractors.
Pull 30-foot irrigation pipe out of the beds and put it on top of dam to be stored for the winter.
Bed Cleanup
You will be working in water that will be 18 inches deep. We supply hip waders to work in water. We do not supply any additional clothes, or rain gear.
Drive tractor with blower and floating boom to corral leaves and fruit to one corner of bed.
Scoop out trash with excavator and put in dump truck to be disposed of.
Finish cleanup with hand scoops. Pick up piles of leaves and put them in a small dump truck. Drive truck to waste area and dispose of leaves and trash berries.

Indoor Packing Position:

Packing
You will be working in a packing plant that is kept at 50-60 degrees.
Pick up packed cases of cranberries and stack them on a pallet.
Clean and wash equipment after the packaging is finished for the day. You will get paid for the cleanup time.

Box Building

Heavy and construction-like work.
Must be OK with hand tools, power tools and have work history showing the ability to consistently and safely lift up to 50lbs consistently throughout the shift.
General cleaning and other duties as assigned.

Housing Information:

Housing provided at a local hotel. Associate pays $60 per week for housing. Cost is deducted from weekly paycheck. Employee is also responsible for any / all damages to hotel property.
2 people per room-no exceptions, unable to accommodate family housing.
