Farm Crew Member in Kerhonkson, NY

Long Season Farm is a small, diversified, certified organic vegetable farm focusing on four season production of high quality vegetables which are primarily sold at farmers markets.

We utilize the main growing season to have a bounty of warm loving crops from late spring through fall. In the “off season” our high tunnels house cold hardy greens and roots, while our cooler stores roots crops and cabbages.

We embrace the seasons rather than struggle against them and so through the seasons we only select varieties that are at their absolute best for the period we grow them.

Our ideal candidate will also:

• Have experience working on a farm, especially using hand tools,
• Take direction well, and be able to work independently,
• Be ready to work in all weather,
• Be comfortable using technology for record keeping.
• Have experience with food safety and good handling practices,
• Maintain strong attention to detail and quality,
• Be motivated by efficiency,
• Be able to lift 50#

We have a small farm, and the day to day roles of our crew are fluid and will overlap.

We would like to fill these positions ASAP. Target start date is early April 2023.

All candidates must live locally and have transportation.
