Welcome to Engelland Farms! We are hiring a Farm Equipment Operator to join our team in Sterling, KS (about an hour northwest of Wichita). In this role you will be operating a self-propelled sprayer along with other agriculture equipment such as air seeders, combines, hay equipment, and semi-trucks.

We offer competitive hourly compensation $18-$25 depending on experience and paid vacation.What you will be doing:
Operate and maintain a variety of farm equipment, with a primary focus on the self-propelled sprayer, air seeder, combine, and hay equipment.
Drive and operate semi-trucks for transportation of farm products.
Handle and feed cattle in a safe and humane manner.
Perform regular equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance.
Utilize mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and address equipment issues.
Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operation of the farm.
Utilize variable rate technology and computer record-keeping for farm operations when applicable.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure equipment is in compliance with safety regulations.
Support animal care activities.

This job is for you if you have:
Proven experience in operating farm equipment, including self-propelled sprayer, air seeder, combine, and hay equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Valid CDL or the ability to obtain one with a clean driving record.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Knowledge or experience with variable rate technology and computer record-keeping is highly preferred.
Strong work ethic, good moral character, and a commitment to high standards of ethical behavior.
Willingness to work flexible hours, with occasional animal care responsibilities on Sundays.
