Farm Equipment Operator in Streator, IL

Durdan Farms is a fourth-generation family farm operation near Mendota, IL. Our current production is over 16,000 acres of corn, soybean, and wheat within an 80-mile radius of Streator, IL. We pride ourselves on working with the latest technology to improve our overall operations.

Durdan Farms is seeking self-motivated and reliable individuals for full-time and part-time positions of farm laborer on our team. Experience operating and maintaining a variety of late-model farm equipment including tractors, auger carts, and chisel plow equipment preferred but not required. Extended hours during planting and harvest seasons. Flexible schedule in the offseason.

Applicants should be self-motivated, hardworking, reliable, and able to work independently as well as with a team.

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to operate a variety of late-model farm equipment, preferred
• Assist when needed with other farm equipment operations
• Ensure the efficient use and care of all equipment
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment

Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license
• Agricultural/farming operations experience
• Strong work ethic
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work overtime and have a flexible schedule
• Physically able to climb up and down operating equipment/ladders safely
• Ability to work outside
• Good hand/eye coordination
• Good hearing and vision

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay based on experience.
