Come and join our team! Armstrong Farm uses both organic and conventional farming practices. While all our ground is not organic, all of our ground is farmed sustainably while using minimal and responsible chemical application. We strive to maintain quality soil health through crop diversification. Currently, we have 9 different commodities in the ground and have grown as many as 13 in one farming season.

Pay starts at $48,000.00/year plus housing. Pay beyond starting rate of $48,000.00/year based on experience with ample room for increase in pay.
The agricultural assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the operation of our farm. They will work alongside our farm manager and other farm workers, assisting with various tasks such as (but not limited to):
Planting, harvesting, and transporting crops. Feeding and caring for livestock. Repairing and maintaining farm equipment and buildings. Operating machinery such as tractors, plows, seeding equipment, combines, and swathers. Prepare soil for planting, monitoring, and controlling pests and weeds. Maintaining irrigation systems.
Skills and Qualifications: Physically fit, able to lift 100 lbs, and able to perform manual labor for long periods of time. Knowledge of farming practices and machinery operations and some repairs. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions. Flexibility to work long hours, weekends and holidays when necissary. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. CDL a plus.

Pay: $48,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
