We are looking for a highly self-motived, honest, person with a good attitude that would like to be part of a hard-working per team. Job tasks will include but not limited to.
– Changing irrigation water between pivots, wheel lines, and handlines
– Starting and stopping wells and booster pumps
– Cleaning plugged sprinklers
– Repairing irrigation parts but not limited to nozzles, regulators, hoses
– Wrapping and unwrapping pivot hoses
– Strawing pivot wheel tracks
– Help get pivots unstuck
– Cleaning Irrigation filters and screens
– Flushing pivots and drip lines
– Able to help and assist in changing pivot tires, gear boxes, and motors
– Fixing irrigation leaks when they occur
– Help clean grain bins which involves sweeping, vacuuming, blowing, and shoveling
– Help move equipment and vehicles as needed around the farm
– Other task might include but not limited to gopher trapping, weed eating, and cleaning equipment
– Ability to work independently alone or with other team members
– Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
– Valid, clean driver license
– Willingness to learn and to be a team player with a positive attitude

We are a family/owner ran farm outside Echo, Oregon. We farm throughout the lower Columbia Basin from Echo to Ione to Boardman to Stanfield and to Plymouth, WA. We farm about 7,000 acres a year. We farm a variety of single and double crops which include grass seed, sweet corn, field corn, peas, beans, squash, alfalfa, wheat, garbanzo beans, and blueberries. We farm both conventional and organic ground.
The job will include a 55-hour work week with overtime pay over 55 hours. You will be expected to work weekends during busy seasons which usually is March thru October. The job will include a company pickup to drive while at work with tools, health insurance, paid sick/pto time, and depending on performance an end of the year bonus. You will be working outside so you must be able to work in the outdoor elements hot, cold, wind, dirt, rain, snow etc. Pay will be $17 per hour. Seasoned pros to rookies are encouraged to apply.
