Farm Hand in Maroa, IL

Zelhart Farms is a family farm based out of Maroa, IL with a major focus on growing corn and soybeans. We are seeking a full-time or part-time, highly motivated individual who we can train to become part of our team. Part-time work may have the potential to transition into a full-time position.

Tasks (not limited to):

• Operate and maintain various types of late-model equipment used in row crop farming.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations to protect personal health and others health.
• Communicate effectively with managers and other team members.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Requirements:

• Ability to achieve appropriate licensing.
• Ability to work around large machinery.
• Must be able to work overtime hours in peak seasons (fall and spring).
• Willingness to obtain a Class A CDL and/or maintain a Class A CDL.
• Experience in farming or related field is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and work in a dynamic farm environment.
• Must be dependable and have own transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to walk and/or stand the entire shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. or more as needed.
• Can handle working in various outdoor weather conditions.
• Able to execute repetitive motions.
• Able to reach, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time.
