We are a family-owned and operated farm in South Central Minnesota. We produce and deliver cash crops including corn, soybeans and sugar beets. We’re hiring a farm hand to join our operation in Sacred Heart, MN. As a farm hand you will be operating large agriculture equipment, tillage, application, harvesting, truck driving and assisting with various shop work. Shop work includes, but is not limited to, preventative maintenance on equipment and trucks, welding and equipment detailing.
We are a very family-friendly operation with a relaxed atmosphere while focusing on efficient farming practices. We pride ourselves on keeping our machinery updated and in good condition, using the latest farming technology.
We offer competitive hourly compensation of $20-$25 depending on experience, health insurance allowance, on-site camper space and hook-up during harvest season when working hours are long and bonuses.
What you will be doing:
Operating farm machinery and some heavy equipment.
Assisting with chemical application, tillage, planting, and harvesting.
Perform preventative maintenance on farm equipment and trucks.
Driving semi-truck delivering corn, soybeans, and sugar beets.
Assist in other areas of the farm when needed.
This job is for you if you have:
Prior operating experience with farm equipment, trucking and other heavy equipment. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Basic mechanical knowledge working on farm and other heavy equipment.
Hard work ethic with the ability to work well both alone and with others.
Ability to work longer hours during planting and harvest seasons. Flexible work hours in the offseason.
Overall passion for the agriculture industry.
Other qualities we are looking for are a detail oriented and personable candidate with a willingness to learn.
