Chef Thomas Kellers Yountville Culinary Garden is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the team as a Farm Hand.
A 3 acre lot located in the heart of Yountville, the Culinary Garden is a seasonally-evolving growing site for the planning, planting and harvest of produce featured in the daily-changing menus of The French Laundry.
Qualified applicants should have a minimum of 1 year of similar experience in a manual labor and/ or farming. This is a maintence focus position, repsonsiblities include but are not limited to maintence and upkeep of the culinary garden.
The position is primarily external and individuals will be subjected to the weather elements. This position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to perform physical work in a variety of positions and at various heights including bending, stooping, reaching and twisting of arms and body movement. Applicate must be able to work in a standing position up to 8 hours and able to operate light and heavy machinery, such as a tractor.
