Oak Lane Farm and Sanctuary is looking for a Farm Hand to join our team. Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to): mowing, trimming, and pruning trees; maintaining and repairing farm equipment, such as tractors and mowers; transporting fallen tree limbs to the farm’s burn pile; washing out water troughs; walking horses to and from pastures; cleaning stalls (very few).
Hours Up to 40 hours per week. Precise hours and schedule are negotiable but must be willing to work at least 3 hours every weekend (either on Sat or Sun).
Qualifications
- At least one-year previous experience working on a farm.
- Skill in safely operating and properly maintaining farm equipment including tractors, mowers, chain saws, etc.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to work outdoors year-round in all types of weather.
- Must be willing to work at 3 least hours each weekend.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work on time.
- Strong work eithic.
- Skill in handling horses preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 – $17.25 per hour
