Longfellow Ranch is a working cattle ranch and wildlife retreat located outside of Fort Stockton TX. We are seeking an experienced hands-on Farm Manager to oversee a development of approximately 2,000 acres of irrigated grain and alfalfa. Manager will be responsible for all aspects of daily operations and needs farming experience. This person will hire, train and maintain farming staff on-site.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Establish and operate irrigation and farming department
· Manage 2-3 direct reports
· Planning and overseeing farm projects
· Assist in other Ranch duties as time and responsibilities allow, backhoes, etc.)
Work Schedule:
As the nature of the work requires, schedule will include working nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Schedule must be flexible to address ranch requirements outside of normal operating hours.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors Degree in Agronomy or equivalent experience
· Minimum 10 years farm experience
· Must work independently with little supervision
· Operation of ATV/UTVs, rangeland drills, chainsaws and some farm equipment
· Physically fit and able to traverse rough terrain
· Must have a valid state issued driver’s license and be insurable
· Ability to pass a pre-employment background checks and drug screens
· Basic computer skills including email for communication
· Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
