About Us:
Stone House Farm is a small-scale market garden farm located in Nevada City, CA, providing fresh produce to our farm-to-table restaurant, Stone House. We focus on regenerative farming practices to prioritize soil health, ecological sustainability, and high-quality produce.

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Farm Manager to join our team for the 2025/2026 growing season. The Farm Manager is responsible for the general maintenance and management of the farm including planning, organizing and supervising activities on the farm. This includes planting, fertilizing, spraying, cultivating and harvesting crops.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with seeding, transplanting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
• Support greenhouse propagation and seasonal planting schedules
• Implement organic pest, weed, and disease management techniques
• Assist with composting, crop rotation, and soil health practices
• Prepare and pack produce for restaurant use and farmers markets
• Help maintain irrigation systems, farm tools, and equipment
• Participate in the Saturday morning Nevada City farmers market
• Collaborate with the farm manager, seasonal staff, and volunteers

Qualifications:

• Interest in regenerative farming, organic agriculture, or sustainability
• Ability to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
• Previous farm, garden, or outdoor labor experience is a plus
• Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
• Develops adequate measures to deal with insects and animals that could damage crops.
• Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
• Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
• Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
• Ensures maintenance is accomplished on tractors and farm implements.

What We Offer:

• Salary $45,000 – $85,000, plus performance bonuses
