The Saltonstall Farm is a small family farm in Stratham, NH. We grow berries using organic practices, host weddings & events in our beautiful barn, and rent out our three bedroom apartment for short term stays. 2023 was our first year of agricultural production and we doubled our acreage for 2024, so were definitely still in a growth and learning phase.
We are currently looking to hire a Full Time, year round Farm Manager to grow with us. The ideal person would be excited to work outside, passionate about constantly learning, and committed to helping the farm become a successful business. This job is sometimes monotonous, but more often than not were doing something weve never done before. Its pretty rare that we get bored!
This position is year round with competitive compensation and benefits.
Job Description:
o Implement agricultural plans as designed by Saltonstall Farm. These plans might include (but are not limited to) the production of strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.
o Maintain neat and orderly agricultural areas to include mowing, brush trimming, etc.
o Safely use heavy equipment to perform agricultural tasks.
o Keep accurate logs of projects, equipment usage, harvests, agricultural inputs used, etc.
o Supervise a small team of farmhands and laborers to accomplish daily tasks.
o Assist in other tasks as needed. This is a farm. Lots of random stuff pops up all the time!
Compensation:
o Year round salary, commensurate with experience.

o 30 paid vacation days per year. We work hard during the growing season, but winters sure are relaxing.
o 15 days paid sick leave per year.
o Annual harvest bonus (10% of gross berry revenue minus labor and input costs).
o Paid continuing education opportunities in the off-season, including travel and per diem.
