Farm Mechanic in Quincy, WA

Job Description

We are seeking to hire a full-time farm mechanic to help us diagnose, repair, maintain, adjust, overhaul, and repair farm machinery and vehicles. This will include farm pickup trucks, semi-trucks/trailers, farm tractors, front end loaders, forage harvesters, mower conditioners, forage mergers, compost/manure spreaders, compost turners, and miscellaneous farm machinery. We do not require a specific set of mechanical skills and knowledge, but we will hire a person with a strong, well-rounded mechanical understanding and skillset. While not required, due to the number of semi-trucks we operate year round, a knowledge in that area would be highly beneficial.

The candidate hired will display a positive, solutions-oriented attitude and will be a detailed, thorough, and motivated worker. We are looking for a person that has a desire to continue to learn and advance their knowledge and skills and takes pride in being part of a team to accomplish objectives both large and small.

The ability of the person to perform other tasks such as drive semi-trucks and operate farm machinery is also not required but is preferred.

During spring (May) and fall (Sept & Oct) harvests, long hours are required and we do pay overtime in accordance with Washington State agricultural overtime requirements.

Compensation amount will be dependent on candidates experience and abilities, and the value they can add to our business.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
