Job Description

The Farm Production Manager will direct the overall production operations to support and align with all company business objectives.

Job Responsibilities of Farm Production Manager:

Oversee the supervision of the daily operations of the production department and coordinate animal welfare.
Ensure the needs of the birds are met to include daily inspections of the barns and complex.
Create and implement policies and procedures as needed.
Manage the purchasing of needed parts, departmental budget & labor hours.
Effectively manage staff by providing coaching, training, including new hires.
Coordinate safety programs and training sessions for the production department.
Maintain records for internal animal welfare auditing and record keeping, as well as the records for compost, wetlands and lagoons.
Participate in companywide semi-annual inspections.
Coordinate with the feed mill to monitor the progress of feed deliveries, diets, and safe feed/safe food program.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE OF Farm Production Manager:

· Bachelor degree in business management, poultry science or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

· 2 to 5 years of experience working in an animal farming operation.

· Prior poultry farm management or other livestock management experience is preferred

· CLM and Mortality Composting Certificates preferred.

· Create a constructive development environment regarding training, recruitment, team building and change.

· Ability to balance short-term and long-term objectives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
