Farm Store Opener – Evening Shift in Schuylerville, NY 12871

Job Description

We are seeking someone to fill a part time closing position in our on-farm creamery store. In our store you will find our year-round scoop shop offering our rotating 80+ homemade ice cream flavors, award winning dairy products, gift items and other local goods. We are opened year round but our operating hours change seasonally. At King Brothers Dairy, you will enjoy working with an energetic, friendly team in a fast-paced environment with the best customers! Weekend and afternoon/evening availability is required.
Job Requirements:

Ability to work mornings and weekends
Customer service experience
Cash handling experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate
Ability to work without direct supervision at all times
Ability to work with high school aged kids & adults

Physical Abilities:

Be able to lift up to 50lbs
Use a hand cart
Move, bend, twist, reach, etc. while carrying/ moving items
Ability to work in and out of coolers and freezer as well as high temperatures in the summer

Schedule:
2pm-close (9pm, 8pm, or 7pm depending on the season) 2-3 shifts per week. Our current closing is 8pm. It typically takes 30 mins to an hour to close up shop at the end of the night.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Following all closing procedures including closing cash drawer
Taking and fulfilling customer orders
Completion of all assigned day to day tasks
Assist in putting away shipments and stocking
Taking inventory
Adhering to company policies – Employment standards, health and safety, etc.
Ability to help lead other staff members
Handling customer issues/ managing conflicts should they arise

Compensation:
Starting rate is $15.00/hour based on experience plus tips!
