We have an exciting opportunity for a Pioneer Seeds Field Agronomist serving the Eastern Virginia and North Eastern North Carolina area. This is a remote position and can be based anywhere within the geography listed above. If hired, you may be required to travel as necessary to support business activities.
Help us grow what matters! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Develop annual agronomic plot and training plans for both internal and external audiences within assigned territories for both Pioneer and PhytoGen product lines.
Coordinate the development and delivery of product management information to assigned territories that optimizes Pioneer and PhytoGen seed products by environment and management to drives sales.
Deliver Train the Trainer activities and content on product knowledge and innovative agronomy for corn, soybean, and cotton.
Provide structured product management training to sellers (primarily retail) that enables them to improve Pioneer and PhytoGen seed positioning with growers. Coordinating field training by territory with CORE plots will help provide retail with local training by environment x management for retail locations.
Coordinate information/notes and observations related to the performance and management of Pioneer and PhytoGen brand seed products including Product Knowledge Plot (PKP) programs.
Implement Pioneer and PhytoGen brand plot strategy to support sales efforts as well as reinforce product understanding within assigned territories.
Develop and implement NA and Southern agronomic strategy to assist with driving customer influence to help bring agronomic topics forward within assigned territories.
Assist retail by supporting key grower calls to drive demand of Pioneer and PhytoGen products assisting with product placement and positioning on the farm
Assist in resolving customer service calls involving product performance and/or agronomic issues when unable to be resolved by local sales teams.
Deliver pertinent agronomy communications to the market to support Corteva products and drive agronomy knowledge.
Qualifications
What expertise have you grown?
Bachelor’s degree required. A Master’s Degree in Agronomy or equivalent is preferred.
Five (5) years of agronomy experience and proven abilities
Must be able to sell, negotiate, and influence
Strong agronomy and knowledge of crop production practices
Ability to pass a driving record background check
VISA sponsorship and International Relocation not available for this position
