Field Agronomist in Tyndall, SD

Job Description

Partner with customers to promote systems for highest yields through efficient practices. Proactively engage in daily/weekly scouting for any pests that may result in yield loss.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Agronomic product recommendations by field and farm

In-field scouting, documentation, and communication of findings to the customer

Skill set in seed, fertilizer, crop protection, foliar nutritionals, soils, crop growth stages and potential impact upon the crop

Weekly tissue sampling and evaluation of results

Keeps records of research, testing, and results

Prepares analysis and data presentation

Irrigation recommendations

Harvest scheduling recommendations

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Attending training and opportunities to learn new/innovative practices

REQUIREMENTS

CCA beneficial

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associates degree or higher preferred

2 season internship or scouting experience preferred

In-depth knowledge of soil and crop principles
