Position Summary: The Field Crew Manager oversees the day-to-day activities of field technicians, ensuring the safe and efficient land application of wastewater biosolids in accordance with Company procedures and DNR regulations. They collaborate with various departmental managers to optimize staffing and support operations. Responsibilities include managing schedules, providing technical guidance, maintaining equipment, and promoting environmentally friendly practices.
Position Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of field technicians.
• Manage employee schedules to optimize productivity and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Collaborate with Environmental, Transportation, Farm, and ULWR Site Managers to manage staffing and provide operational support.
• Provide technical guidance and training to field crew members, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Oversee the application of drag hose and cake sludge according to company procedures and DNR regulations.
• Utilize a variety of equipment, including but not limited to; pumps, tractors, tanker trucks, land application equipment.
• Ensure environmentally friendly practices, such as reducing compaction in fields and minimizing surface runoff.
• Conduct hiring and training of new employees, as well as performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of work activities and equipment maintenance.
• Address any issues or concerns related to field operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
