Job Description
Individual will be responsible for operating or tending to equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, tillage equipment and truck and trailer equipment.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Operate farm equipment in the field
- Operate grain trucks to haul grain and/or fertilizer
- Operate, maintain and repair grain handling systems
- Assemble, maintain and repair farm equipment
- Maintain and repair trucks, tractors and other equipment
- Routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles
- Welding and fabricating
- Experience with tractors, or heavy equipment is a plus
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- At times, ability to work in a dust environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Must be willing to work extra hours during busy seasons including weekends
- Regular, consistent attendance
Hours:
- Monday – Friday; 40 hours per week with overtime compensation. During busy times of the year, this position requires early morning / late hour and weekends.
