Seasonal General Farm Worker in Roxbury, CT

Looking for a farm laborer on beef farm in Roxbury, CT. Hours are 7:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. M-F + Rotating Saturday chores

Primary responsibilities include:

• Daily care of livestock: feeding, watering, cleaning barns and collecting eggs.
• Maintenance of farm property including mowing, weed-wacking and fence work
• Harvesting the hay crop
• Ability to take instructions

Experience – “Willing to Train” Work with beef cattle, pigs, sheep, donkeys, goats and chicken

• Must have valid license and clean driving record
• Must be able to easily lift and carry 60 pounds repeatedly
• Drive tractors and operate farm equipment
• Use small engine machines including mowers, weed-wackers and chainsaws
• Basic hand and power tools experience

Required Traits: Punctual, reliable team player

• Calm with animals
• Willingness to learn

Must be able to work extended hours during the hay harvest

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 – $17.00 per hour
