Job Description

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GM to oversee the comprehensive management of our ranch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, contractor negotiation and oversight, ranch management, equipment operations, employee management, and communication with governmental authorities. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of related education experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Construction and Contractor Management:
o Oversee construction projects and ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
o Negotiate contracts with contractors and manage their performance.
o Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Ranch Management:
o Manage day-to-day operations of the ranch, including livestock, crops, and other agricultural activities.
o Develop and implement strategies to improve ranch productivity and profitability.
Equipment Operations:
o Oversee the maintenance and operation of all ranch equipment.
o Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
Employee Oversight/Management:
o Supervise and manage ranch staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
o Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Communication with Governmental Authorities:
o Maintain effective communication with local, state, and federal authorities.
o Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
General Management:
o Oversee the management of ranch structures, equipment, employees, and general costs.
o Assist with all development issues and projects.
o Develop and manage budgets, financial reports, and operational plans.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years of related education and experience in ranch management, construction, or a similar field.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and contractor management.
• Experience with equipment operations and maintenance.
• Proven ability to manage and lead a team.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with governmental authorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
