Indoor Farm Worker in Woburn, MA

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Farm Worker to join our indoor, vertical farm. The ideal candidate will assist in various farm activities. This position requires you to be available for an 8 hour shift on TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY, each week.

Duties:
Seeding microgreen trays

Moving seeded trays to germination

Moving trays from germination to light racks

Harvesting, weighing, and packing product accurately while maintaining food safety standards.

Packing cases accurately

Labeling boxes accurately

Post harvest clean up of tables, floor and room

Hose down and sanitize flood trays

Wash & sanitize harvesting machine

Understand and implement plant watering schedule

Learn to efficiently use tray soil filling machine, and fill flats

Use tray washer machine to wash & sanitize trays

Drive for deliveries if required

Ensure cleanliness and organization of farm facilities

Skills:
– Experience in farming practices
– Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
– Mechanical knowledge for equipment operation and repair, if needed
– Knowledge of growing techniques is a plus
– Familiarity with machine operation
