AGCO Corp has an exciting opportunity for a Livestock and Forage Manager to join its Global Agronomy and Farm Solutions Team, whose goal is to enhance farm value through science and engineering by connecting sensors and machines to plants and soils to more effectively manage genetics, crop protection products, fertilizers, crop and livestock production systems, and other machine-centric farm operations thereby increasing yield and reducing waste. Open to remote work for candidates residing in the following states Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, and Kansas.

As part of the team, you will be involved early in the product development process to ensure highly valuable agronomic and livestock focused issues are identified and solved. When products are in final development, you will be responsible to prove grower ROI and the effectiveness of farm solutions through on farm research trials, leading to commercialization of products that bring enhanced value to our customers.

What you will do

Be the livestock nutrition and forage management representative on the global agronomy and farm solutions team.
Partner with farmer customers to understand farm finance and livestock and forage challenges.
Lead field research to identify and value key agronomic/livestock opportunities to inform product development.
Assist with agronomic/livestock performance evaluation related to AGCO machines and solutions during prototype phase.
Partner with marketing to develop agronomic/livestock demonstration plans for machines and solutions during the launch phase.
Interface directly with farmers, dealers, and AGCO stakeholders to identify and plan on-farm research.
Share results of on-farm research with growers, dealers, and AGCO stakeholders at field events, dealer meetings, farm shows, company meetings, and conferences.
Ability to work in the heat or cold outside and able to walk and work unassisted in fields and around livestock.
Travel requirements: up to 50%

What you will bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science
1-3 years’ experience working with livestock or forage production
Technical experience working in the AG industry in a role focused on interpreting science to help farmers make the most of new products. Understand the equipment and the data it generates and how this effects processes on a farm
A strong understanding of farming with focus on livestock nutrition, forage management, and agriculture economics

A Plus If You Have

Master’s Degree in animal science in livestock nutrition or agronomy in forage management
Self-driven, innovative, problem-solving, and solutions-oriented mindset
Commercially driven thinking with deep agronomic/livestock nutrition understanding
