Job Summary

This posting is an intermittent position working on average of 20% to 40% time. This position does not have a regular schedule or standard working hours. This position provides service in relief of permanent weighing staff on an as needed basis and must be able to report to work on short notice.
This position provides accurate and impartial weighing services to livestock producers and buyers through issuance of Official Certificates of State Weight. This position is located in Worthington, MN at the JBS Swift Plant. This is an ideal position for someone who isn’t looking for a set schedule but who is interested in competitive part-time wages and gaining state work experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
To facilitate proper years of service crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.

Basic math skills.
Ability to write legible and accurate reports.
Ability to transfer numbers from one form to another.
Ability to effectively deal with the public and the employees of the packing companies.
English skills sufficient to perform the job duties described above, using reading, writing and speaking skills.
Ability to hear oral instructions in a noisy environment.
The ability to celebrate diversity and a strong commitment to a respectful and inclusive work environment.
